I’m an older white British gentleman with Scottish ancestry. I like quietness, the long way round. I’m drawn to older things, old notebooks, manuscripts, archaeology and baroque art that doesn’t need to explain itself. I’m a Francophile with a love of Roman history. I like walking without destination, olive oil on toast, homemade takeaway style food. I value provenance, ambiguity, and the liturgy of noticing.
