Limentinus Fiction
Thank you for reading the fiction on Limentinus. These stories live in their own world and they follow their own rules. They are often set in the past which is known but they will wander into the future.
They’re always homonormative and never hide the sexuality of the characters. It’s simply part of who they are, the same way place, memory and temperament are part of them. Nothing here is written to shock or provoke. Nothing is designed to corrupt or deprave. These are stories about people, not vehicles for explicit description.
Some pieces contain mature themes and moments that belong to adult lives, so a little discretion is advised.
There’s no graphic sexual content and nothing that resembles the pulp paperbacks that once sat on wire racks in bookshops and train stations. The focus here is always on character, historical accuracy, atmosphere and the quiet movements of a life unfolding on the page.

The following pages are offered merely as a modern literary exercise, conceived in imitation of those fragmentary commentaries long supposed to have been written by Glycerius in his later years.
No authentic manuscript of his hand is known to exist; the present work therefore makes no claim to be a transcription, but rather an imaginative reconstruction cast in the manner of a nineteenth‑century translator’s edition, and intended only to evoke the character and temper of a lost text.
